Roger L. Johnson began his accomplished career 25 years ago
after graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara
California. He has photographed on all 7 continents of the World. From
Polar bears of the Arctic to Penguins of the Antarctic. He has owned and
operated a commercial photography studio and photographic custom color
lab. He is also gaining many acceptances and medals through his participation
in PSA Salons. He is an active member and past President of the Contra
Costa Camera Club. He has been awarded "Best of Show" and Silver ribbons
in numerous California Fairs. He has been the featured photographer at
Homes and Land Magazine for the last 10 years. Many of his photographs
have been featured in Graphic Art Center's advertising campaign this year.
His work has appeared in magazines in Japan, England, Europe and the United
States. He achieved world wide recognition in 1995 when he was awarded
"First Place" in Composition and Form category in The Wildlife Photographer
of the Year Contest by The Natural History Museum, London, England. Roger
enjoys finding the beauty in Nature. Sharing the way he sees the world
through his lens gives him great personal satisfaction. Roger is now judging
many photographic events through out California. These include local camera
